March 2023 Tanjungpandan City Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 6.71 percent

Abstract

In March 2023 there was Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 6.71 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 118.03. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Tual at 7.49 percent with a CPI of 117.19 and the lowest was in Merauke at 3.17 percent with a CPI of 112.59.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.69 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.86 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.82 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 1.42 percent; the health group by 2.14 percent; transportation group of 19.62 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 2.49 percent; education group by 4.78 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 6.36 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 6.31 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.92 percent.
The Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation rate is 0.70 percent and the Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 2.16 percent.
The y-on-y inflation rate for the Energy component was 10.95 percent and the y-on-y inflation for the Foodstuffs component was 6.31 percent.
