April 2023 Tanjungpandan City Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 4.22 percent and Month to Month (m-o-m) inflation of 0.19 percent.

Abstract

In April 2023 there was Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 4.22 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 118.25. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 6.75 percent with a CPI of 121.12 and the lowest was in Pangkalpinang at 2.78 percent with a CPI of 114.15.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.82 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.20 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.09 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 1.14 percent; the health group by 2.55 percent; transportation group by 20.66 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 3.42 percent; education group by 4.78 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 3.59 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 4.93 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.93 percent.
The Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation rate is 0.19 percent and the Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 2.35 percent.
The y-on-y inflation rate for the Energy component was 10.06 percent and the y-on-y deflation for the Foodstuffs component was 0.87 percent.
