The ability to read and write has become a very basic skill today. The Literacy Rate reflects the percentage of the population aged 15 years and over who can read and write simple sentences. This is an important indicator to see the quality of human resources, especially in the education sector.
The literacy rate in Pangkalpinang City will increase by 0.25 percent to reach 99.34 percent in 2023. Literacy rates that have not yet reached 100% also occur throughout Indonesia, this shows that there are still people who cannot read and write, especially those who have aged.
