Economic growth is an effort to increase production capacity to achieve additional output, which is measured using Gross Domestic Product (GDP) or using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in a region.

After the pandemic, economic activities in Pangkal Pinang City showed positive growth. In 2023, Pangkal Pinang City's economic growth grew positively by 5.32 percent, although it slowed down slightly compared to the previous year.

Simply put, in terms of production, the number of goods and services in 2023 is higher than the previous year. Where the value of these goods and services is calculated using one price in the base year, namely 2010.

The calculation of economic growth is purely based on the addition or reduction in the number of goods and services produced, not due to changes in prices or inflation.

So that the Central Statistics Agency calculates economic growth based on the growth of Gross Regional Domestic Product at Constant Prices or GRDP ADHK.
