The beautiful beaches make Bangka Island a tourist destination for tourists. Pangkalpinang City is the provincial capital and the entry point for tourist guests, both domestic and foreign tourists.

In semester 1 of 2024, the number of guest visits to star hotels in Pangkal Pinang City was recorded at 81,346 people.

This number, when compared with the number of guest visits from star hotels in semester 1 of 2023, has increased. This is accompanied by the improvement in the situation of tourism sector activities after the Covid-19 pandemic in Pangkal Pinang City
