Poor people are those whose monthly per capita expenditure is below the poverty line, which is the expenditure limit as the poverty line.

The poverty indicators released by the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) use the concept of the ability to meet basic needs as measured in terms of expenditure.

In the calculation, there is an expenditure limit that differentiates between poor and non-poor people, which is called the poverty line.

The poverty line for Pangkal Pinang City in 2023 is 894,224 rupiah per capita per month.
