Based on the results of the 2023 agricultural census, the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of Pangkal Pinang City recorded 3,455 agricultural households. These households consist of farmers, fish cultivators, fishermen, forest farmers and agricultural service businesses.

Among the 7 sub-districts in Pangkal Pinang City, Gerunggang District is the sub-district with the largest number of agricultural households.

In 2024, BPS will carry out an agricultural economic survey which aims to obtain information about the economic aspects of agricultural business units. Through this survey, we can find out the economic condition of agriculture in Indonesia.
