April 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Pangkal Pinang City will be 2.39 percent

• In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Pangkal Pinang City will be 2.39 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.06.

• Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in almost all expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.99 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.13 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.06 percent; health group at 8.90 percent; transportation group at 2.39 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.20 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.13 percent; education group at 0.59 percent; and the food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.29 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decrease in the index were the supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance group at 0.41 percent and the personal care and other services group at 1.10 percent.

• The inflation rate for April 2024 month to month (m-to-m) is 0.57 percent and the inflation rate for April 2024 year to date (y-to-d) is 0.98 percent.
