Abstract

  • In June 2023 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Pangkalpinang was 2.57 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.62. The lowest y-on-y inflation in Indonesia occurred in Gunungsitoli at 1.01 percent with a CPI of 114.79. Meanwhile, the highest y-on-y inflation in Indonesia occurred in Ambon City at 6.10 percent with a CPI of 118.67.
  • Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in CPI in almost all expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.36 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.73 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.85 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.73 percent; the health group by 0.98 percent; transportation group by 8.51 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 1.44 percent; the education group by 0.04 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 1.07 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 1.86 percent. On the other hand, the group that experienced deflation or a decrease in the CPI was the information, communication and financial services group which experienced a deflation of 0.65 percent.
  • The June 2023 Pangkalpinang Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 0.40 percent and the June 2023 Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 0.84 percent.
  • The y-on-y inflation rate for the Energy component was 13.38 percent with a share of 1.3181 percent; and the Food Ingredients component by 0.16 percent with a share of 0.0408 percent.
