The Gini Ratio for the Bangka Belitung Islands Province for September 2022 is 0.25

Abstract

  • In September 2022, the level of income inequality for the population of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province as measured by the Gini Ratio is 0.255. This figure increased by 0.019 points when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2022 which was 0.236 and also increased by 0.008 points compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2021 which was 0.247.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2022 was recorded at 0.263, an increase compared to the Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2022 which was 0.248 and also increased compared to the Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2021 which was 0.259.
  • The Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2022 was recorded at 0.222, an increase compared to the Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2022 which was 0.206 and also increased compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2021 which was 0.215.
  • Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of spending in the bottom 40 percent for the September 2022 period is 24.96 percent. This means that population spending in September 2022 is in the category of low inequality. If broken down by regional classification, in urban areas for the September 2022 period it was recorded at 24.68 percent, which means it belongs to the low inequality category. Meanwhile for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 26.61 percent, which means it belongs to the low inequality category.
