Abstract

The percentage of poor people in September 2021 was 4.67 percent, decreased by 0.23 percentage points against March 2021 and decreased by 0.22 percentage points against September 2020.
The number of poor people in September 2021 was 69.70 thousand people, a decrease of 3 (three) thousand people from March 2021 and a decrease of 2.35 thousand people from September 2020.
The percentage of the urban poor in March 2021 was 3.57 percent, down to 3.22 percent in September 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in March 2021 was 6.63 percent, down to 6.57 percent in September 2021.
Compared to March 2021, the number of urban poor in September 2021 decreased by 2.6 thousand people (from 29.84 thousand people in March 2021 to 27.28 thousand people in September 2021). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 0.4 thousand people (from 42.87 thousand people in March 2021 to 42.43 thousand people in September 2021).
The Poverty Line in September 2021 was recorded at Rp. 770,457,-/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp. 555,279,-/capita/month and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp. 215,178,-/capita/month.
In September 2021, on average, poor households in Indonesia had 4.74 household members. Thus, the size of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is Rp.3,651,966,-/poor household/month.
