Abstract

The percentage of poor people in March 2024 was 4.55 percent, an increase of 0.03 percentage points against March 2023 and a decrease of 0.06 percentage points against September 2022.
The number of poor people in March 2024 amounted to 69.95 thousand people, an increase of 1.26 thousand people against March 2023 and an increase of 0.26 thousand people against September 2022.
The percentage of the urban poor population in March 2024 amounted to 3.39 percent, down by 0.15 percentage points on March 2023. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor population in March 2024 amounted to 6.17 percent, an increase of 0.32 percentage points in March 2023.
Compared to March 2023, the number of poor people in March 2024 in urban areas decreased by 0.69 thousand people (from 31.09 thousand people in March 2023 to 30.40 thousand people in March 2024). Meanwhile, during the same period, the number of poor people in rural areas increased by 1.95 thousand people (from 37.60 thousand people in March 2023 to 39.55 thousand people in March 2024).
The Poverty Line in March 2024 was recorded at Rp 908,397,-/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp 663,408,-/capita/month and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp 244,989,-/capita/month.
In March 2024, on average, poor households in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province had 5.01 household members. Thus, the amount of the Poverty Line per poor household on average was Rp 4,551,069 per poor household per month.
