April 2021, Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 0.30 percent, with calendar year inflation of 1.02 percent and year on year of 2.13 percent.

Abstract

  • Pangkalpinang City, in April 2021 inflation of 0.30 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 104.49. Of the 90 CPI cities, 72 experienced inflation and 18 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kotamobagu at 1.31 percent with a CPI of 107.89 and the lowest in Yogyakarta at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 109.92. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Jayapura at 1.26 percent with a CPI of 104.20 and the lowest in Tanjungpandan at 0.02 percent with a CPI of 107.83.
  • Inflation was caused by an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.67 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.05 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group of 0.04 percent; the equipment, tools and household routine maintenance group by 0.39 percent; the health group of 0.92 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.61 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, the group that experienced deflation was the transportation group at 0.15 percent and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.05 percent. Meanwhile, the recreation, sports and culture group as well as the education group were stable or did not experience a change in index.
  • April 2021 calendar year experienced inflation of 1.02 percent and year on year (April 2021 against April 2020) also inflation of 2.13 percent.
  • The energy component in April 2021 did not experience a change in index with the CPI of 101.08. The foodstuff component of inflation was 0.72 percent with a CPI of 108.19.
