Abstract

The economy of Bangka Belitung Islands quarter I-2017 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp17,064 billion and GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached Rp12,327 billion.

The economy of Bangka Belitung Islands in the first quarter of 2017 compared to the first quarter of 2016 (y-on-y) grew by 6.42 percent. Meanwhile, when compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) only grew by 0.15 percent.

From the production side, in the first quarter of 2017, the tin processing industry increased so that to meet the basic materials of the industry, tin ore mining activities also increased. Along with the increase of industrial production processing of large and retail trade activities, and repair of cars and motorcycles also increased. In terms of expenditure, the growth of tin metal processing industry will encourage the growth of foreign exports for tin products themselves. In addition, foreign exports of crum rubber products also become one of the economic drivers of Bangka Belitung Islands. The presence of an international-scale event MXGP and the elections in the Islands of Bangka Belitung a little more influence to increase the activities of non-profit institutions such as KONI, political parties and non-profit supporters.

Total GDP of ADHB of Sumatra Island in quarter I-2017 reached Rp722,832 billion rupiah or about 21.95 percent of total GRDP 34 provinces in Indonesia, while the GRDP ADHK Sumatra Island in quarter I-2017 reached Rp516.593 billion with the growth of -0.70 percent (q-to-q) and 4.05 percent (y-on-y). While Provincial Gross Regional Domestic Product of Bangka Belitung Islands only contributes 2.36 percent to PDRB Sumatera Island and 0.52 percent to total PDRB 34 provinces in Indonesia.
