Abstract

  • In October 2023, The United of 2 cities in Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate was 3.80 percent with a CPI of 117.46. The monthly deflation rate or month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate was 0.31 percent, and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 2.74 percent.
  • The y-on-y inflation rate in Pangkalpinang City was 2.88 percent and the m-to-m deflation rate was 0.12 percent, with a CPI of 115.58. The Y-on-y inflation rate in Tanjungpandan City was 5.43 percent and the m-to-m deflation rate was 0.62 percent, with a CPI of 120.87.
  • The y-on-y inflation occurred as indicated by the increase in all expenditure groups indices, namely; Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group of 7.13 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 0.99 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel Group of 0.30 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintanance Grup of 0.26 percent; Health Group of 10.19 percent; Transportation Group of 5.06 percent; Information, Communication and Financial Services Group of 0.06 percent; Recreation, Sports and Culture Group of 1.69 percent; Education Group of 2.45 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Service/Restaurant Group of 1.16 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 2.26 percent.
  • The Dominant commodities with y-on-y inflated contribution were rice, air transport, filter clove cigarettes, broiler chicken meat and squid. Meanwhile, the Dominant commodities with m-to-m deflated contribution were kerisi fish, mackerel, round fish, water spinach and air transportation
