The Economy of the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the Second Quarter of 2023 Grows 5.13 Percent (Y-on-Y)

Abstract

  • The economy of the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the second quarter of 2023 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached IDR 25.80 trillion and the GRDP at constant prices (ADHK) in 2010 reached IDR 15.20 trillion.
  • The economy of the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the second quarter of 2023 against the second quarter of 2022 (y-on-y) grew by 5.13 percent, slowing compared to the achievements in the second quarter of 2022 which grew by 5.27 percent. From the production side, most of the business fields grew positively where the highest growth occurred in the Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security business fields. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, most of the expenditure components also experienced an increase where the highest growth rate was experienced by the LNPRT consumption expenditure component.
  • The economy of the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 6.06 percent. From the production side, almost all business fields grew positively except for the wholesale and retail trade and car and motorcycle repair sectors, which experienced contractions.
