November 2021 Pangkalpinang City inflation is 0.77 percent. Pangkalpinang's inflation was the 5th highest out of 24 CPI cities on the island of Sumatra.

Abstract

  • In November 2021, Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 0.77 percent with a CPI of 105.82. Of the 90 CPI cities, 84 cities experienced inflation and 6 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sintang at 2.01 percent with a CPI of 113.80 and the lowest occurred in Bima and Pontianak at 0.02 percent with a CPI of 105.89 and 107.06, respectively. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Kotamobagu at 0.53 percent with a CPI of 107.95 and the lowest occurred in Tual, at 0.16 percent with a CPI of 108.77.
  • Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in 6 expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 1.20 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.06 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.41 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.06 percent; transportation group by 1.97 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.45 percent. Meanwhile, five groups, namely the health group; information, communication, and financial services group; recreation, sports, and cultural groups; education group; and the food and beverage supply/restaurant group was monitored to be stable.
  • The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–November) 2021 is 2.30 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2021 to November 2020) is 3.03 percent.
  • The energy group in November 2021 experienced inflation of 0.22 percent with a CPI of 101.92. Meanwhile, the food ingredients component also experienced inflation of 1.53 percent with a CPI of 109.53.
