Abstract

  • In November 2021 Tanjungpandan City experienced inflation of 0.38 percent with a CPI of 109.67. Of the 90 CPI cities, 84 cities experienced inflation and 6 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sintang at 2.01 percent with a CPI of 113.80 and the lowest occurred in Bima and Pontianak at 0.02 percent with a CPI of 105.89 and 107.06, respectively. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Kotamobagu at 0.53 percent with a CPI of 107.95 and the lowest occurred in Tual at 0.16 percent with a CPI of 108.77.
    • Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in some indexes of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 0.68 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.34 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.06 percent; transportation group by 0.16 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.27 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.61 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced deflation were: the health group by 0.44 percent. Clothing and footwear group; recreation, sports, and cultural groups; food and beverage/restaurant supply group; and the education group did not change.
    • The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–November) 2021 is 2.84 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2021 to November 2020) is 4.38 percent.
    • The energy group in November 2021 experienced inflation of 0.30 with a CPI of 101.24. Meanwhile, the food ingredients component in November 2021 experienced inflation of 0.83 percent with a CPI of 114.80.
