September 2021 Pangkalpinang City inflation is 0.60 percent. Pangkalpinang City's inflation was the highest of 90 CPI cities.

Abstract

  • In September 2021, Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 0.60 percent with a CPI of 104.98. Of the 90 CPI cities, 34 cities experienced inflation and 56 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Pangkalpinang at 0.60 percent with a CPI of 104.98 and the lowest occurred in Surakarta at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 105.96. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Gorontalo at 0.90 percent with a CPI of 105.94 and the lowest occurred in Palu, at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 108.33.
  • Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in 7 expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 1.84 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.11 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.02 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.05 percent; health group by 0.05 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.12 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.24 percent. Two groups of expenditures were monitored for deflation, namely the transportation group at 0.06 percent and the recreation, sports and culture group at 0.60 percent. Meanwhile, the education group and the food and beverage/restaurant supply group were stable.
  • The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–September) 2021 is 1.49 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2021 to September 2020) is 2.40 percent.
  • The energy group in September 2021 experienced inflation of 0.01 percent with a CPI of 101.09. Meanwhile, the food ingredients component experienced inflation of 2.49 percent with a CPI of 108.28.
