Abstract

  • Pangkalpinang City, in January 2021 inflation was 1.17 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 104.65. Of the 90 CPI cities, 75 experienced inflation and 15 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Mamuju at 1.43 percent with a CPI of 105.54 and the lowest was in Ambon at 0.02 percent with a CPI of 105.54. Meanwhile, the highest deflation was in Bau-Bau with 0.92 percent with CPI 103.86 and the lowest was in Pontianak at 0.01 percent with CPI 106.16.
  • Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by rising indices in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.06 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.35 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuels group of 0.07 percent; equipment, tools and household routine maintenance group by 0.05 percent; the health group by 0.15 percent; the information, communication and financial services group of 0.07 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.10 percent; and personal care and other services group of 1.29 percent. Meanwhile, the group experiencing deflation was the transportation group by 1.42 percent and the education group by 0.80 percent. Meanwhile, the index for recreation, sports and culture did not change.
  • The calendar year January 2021 experienced inflation of 1.17 percent and year on year (January 2021 to January 2020) also inflation of 0.59 percent.
The energy component in January 2021 experienced deflation of 0.01 percent with a CPI of 101.09. In contrast, the foodstuff component experienced inflation of 5.26 percent with a CPI of 109.83.
