Abstract

A. DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

  • The number of guests staying at luxury hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2017 there were 22 457 people. This amount decreased by 15.87 percent compared to the previous month the number of guests that as many as 26 694 people (Table 1). a decrease in the number of guests happen to foreign guests and domestic guests with decreased respectively by 0.62 per cent (2) and 16.06 percent (4,235 people).

  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) star hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2017 amounted to 32.68 percent (Table 2), was down 4.86 points compared to the value of TPK amounting to 37.54 percent in January 2016.

  • TPK highest five-star hotel by district / city in February 2017 in the District of Belitung (38.54 percent), followed by Central Bangka regency (37.35 percent) and Pangkalpinang (25.18 percent), while only 19 TPK Bangka, 24 percent.

  • In February 2017, the average length of stay of the total at the five-star hotel for 1.72 days, decreased when compared to the previous month. During February, the average length of stay (3.49 days) of 1.8 days longer than the Indonesian guests (1.69 days).




B. DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

  • The number of inter-island passenger sea transport departing from Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2017, there were 5.69 thousand, a decrease of 45.67 percent compared to January 2017, which reached 10.47 thousand people (Table 5). When compared with the same period in the previous year (January to February 2016), the number of passengers rose significantly by 32.93 percent.

  • The number of inter-island sea transport passengers coming in Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2017, there were 6.70 thousand people. The amount is decreased by 41.72 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January to February 2016) the flow of incoming passengers increased by 19.72 percent.

  • The volume of goods loaded at the port in February 2017 as much as 327.17 thousand tons, down by 5.05 percent when compared to the month of January 2017 were as much as 344.57 thousand tons.

  • The volume of goods unloaded during the month of February 2017 as much as 168.98 thousand tons, down by 33.76 percent compared to the previous month to reach 255.11 thousand tons.

  • The number of air passengers departing from Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2017, there were 102.47 thousand, a decrease of 16.28 percent compared with the previous month to reach 122.39 thousand.

  • The number of passengers who come to Bangka Belitung using air transport in February 2017 as many as 91.71 thousand, a decrease of 31.32 percent compared to the previous month.
