Abstract

In November 2016 Tanjungpandan City experienced inflation of 0.70 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 133.03 after earlier in October 2016 experienced inflation of 0.31 percent with CPI of 132.11.

Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index in four groups, namely expense foodstuffs with 2.81 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.16 per cent; clothing group by 0.80 percent; and health group by 0.76 percent. While the group index declines were housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.23 percent; education, recreation and sports by 0.01 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services by 1.68 percent.

The inflation rate November 2016 calendar year amounted to 3.98 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (November 2016 to November 2015) amounted to 5.26 percent.
