Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) 2024

In May 2024, BPS Pangkal Pinang City will collect data on Village Potential (Podes) at the sub-district, sub-district and city levels.

Village Potential (Podes) is the only complete village-level data collection carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This fact brings both pride and challenge. This pride is partly because the Podes results will always be awaited and become a reference for many parties. Meanwhile, the challenge is that more and more parties are highlighting and demanding the validity and accuracy of the data

Podes 2024 will be implemented in all government administrative areas at village level including villages, sub-districts, nagari, Transmigration Settlement Units (UPT), and Transmigration Settlement Units (SPT) which are still being developed by relevant ministries throughout Indonesia. Podes 2024 also covers all sub-districts, districts/cities throughout Indonesia.

The aim of the 2024 Podes data collection is to produce data for regional development purposes, providing data on regional potential, availability of infrastructure/facilities, and socio-economic conditions in each village/sub-district.
